Yeah more than likely people/shops who do it will not post instructions on how to do it when they can wait for people to bring in their car and pay them $1000 to do it. I know I for sure would not! It is a pretty nice tough though if you have deep pockets.
With the amount of desired Esky mods, I wonder why people just don't buy them out right more. It would hold value better than a Tahoe/Yukon with a whole bunch of subtle Escalade mods.

Wow that's badass... I wonder if it's fully functional because on the Esky DIC, a digital speedometer shows real time speed as you travel unlike the Yuk/Tahoe.

LOL I did just that. Pretty much did every esky mod I could do on my 08 Tahoe then ended up just getting one.

I understand why you say that, but that's like buying a truck already built. I like to customize my vehicles. I did this a couple years ago. back in 03 I had an 01 Tahoe, and I did all the esky stuff to it. So a couple years ago, I went ahead and bought an 04 Esky. But within a year I got rid of it because there wasn't much more to upgrade.

Very nice just so not worth it when you can get a HUD which is ten times cooler and the reason we didn't buy an escalade is because for some reason we just like tahoe/yukons better

Wow that's a joke 1800 for a non-working dic

$1,800 for about $800 in parts (Cluster and wiring harness end) and then probably 12 hours or so of wiring/soldering etc...

And the DIC is an extension of your computer, so unless you change out the entire wiring harness and computers, the DIC won't work. You can add stuff to the DIC, like the radar detector thread, but that's cutting off the info from the computer to show something else and then going back to the normal info.

So $1,800 isn't a bad deal if you "HAVE" to have the Esky cluster. Pay to play. And it cost a lot of money to be different.

I read that a lot on here. It's weird how everyone wants the parts that come on it though.:hands:

Not if you guys would get off the factory "upgrade" kick.

Hey, you upgrade to factory 17's from your aftermarket 24's, upgraded to factory suspension, taillights, etc...

Yea I guess i'm kind of following your trend because I agree it does suck there isn't much more to upgrade but it's stuff like AC seats, the nuance leather, leather door panels, and esky cluster... stuff I wouldn't have been able to upgrade on the Tahoe that I REALLY wanted. Plus I can still do a 2" rear drop, BBK, different rims, clear headlights, system, etc. if I magically grow a money tree one day :)
