Just picked up a 2002 Escalade AWD, bought a set of 26" wheels and now wanting to lower it ASAP...

I have not been able to find a solid answer on really how low you can go... Some places say it stresses out the AWD drivetrain and others say dumping it on the ground is fine...

I'm looking to get it low enough to tuck at least the top of the tires, maybe even a small portion of the wheel itself without causing myself any headaches with the drivetrain. I dont really care about the ride quality, I drive 10 miles a day on a good day and have owned several lowered vehicles in the past...

Please let me know...

Thanks

Are you talking just lowering it or bagging it?

You can bag it to lay on the tires without any probs.

I doubt the offset of your wheels will allow any tucking in the front.

the wheels are coming off a 2010 silverado that was bagged and they tucked on the truck...

You just reinforced what I said. You want a static drop not bags therefor will not work tucked.

I realized you are right, I was thinking along the lines of the 26's being the right offset to tuck since they were on a bagged truck....however for a static drop they would rub all over the plastics in the wheel wells and Im not into trimming stuff.

I ordered a set of 24" U255's today with tires and the Crown Suspension 4/5 lowering kit...
