A dealer called me today letting me know about the big discount on 2015 Tahoe. On the phone I metioned to him that I am reading so many owners reporting the buffetting/vibration issue on Youkon and Tahoe. He seemed surpriced to what I mentioned, he said he had never heard of it. He said he had sold many Youkon and Tahoe this year and none of them reported the issues.

I have been under the impression that there are more Youkon/Tahoe with the issues than those that have no issue, it's like you would be really lucky to get one without the issues, maybe I am wrong.... How many of you have a 2015/2016 Youkon/Tahoe and DO NOT have buffetting and vibration issue?

I have not noticed the buffeting issue at all.

Something to consider, you are going to have much more online reading material with defects than you are normal operation. Seems obvious but you have thousands of these trucks being sold, it's going to be a small percentage. Definitely not acceptable for those affected but still a small minority.

But there aren't any posts about vibration and buffetting issues with the 2014's I don't think?

I've driven 5 2015/16 and they all have it to one degree or another.

2015 Denali (standard wheelbase) that was purchased on 10/1/15. It's got the 22" wheels and sunroof. I've got a couple thousand miles on it and have had zero issues with buffeting/pressure/vibration. I asked a good friend who picked up a 2015 Yukon XL (every option available with the exception of Denali trim) last year when they first came out, his has nearly 20K miles and he has had zero issues. Another good friend has a 2015 Suburban LTZ that also purchased when they first hit the dealers (he is a finance manager at Chevy) and he also has had zero issues.

While I do believe there is a legit issue I think you will find that there are a much higher percentage of owners with zero issues (think about how many of these vehicles are on the road). Obviously people having issues are going to make the most noise about something. I think the issue is more of the exception than the norm but it still needs to be addressed by GM.

Yea I wasn't saying there wasn't a problem specifically with the 2015's or 16's, I am just saying that the problem affects a small percentage of trucks.

Could be.

All 5 I've driven have had the buffetting issue to one degree or another. Only 1 had the >75 mph vibration issue though.

Once you know what to "feel" for from the buffeting issue, you'll see it is in a lot of these GM SUVs

Every single one I've driven (now over 15 between 15s and 16s) has the buffeting booming to a varying degree

Now to OPs point, much fewer had a vibration issue, in my drives about half of them

Agreed. What I would also add is that the buffetting (when it's minimal) isn't any 'worse an issue' than the earlier models v4/v8 shudder and 6 speed tranny 'thunks' IMO.

Sounds like pretty high percentage...
