Hey guys,
I've been wanting to clean my throttle body but never had the time to. Now that I do have time, I have no idea of how to do it. I came across a video on Youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MnWiOrnVk28 . Is what this guy does correct? Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thnx

I wouldn't recommend moving that throttle blade by hand if it's a fly by wire throttle body. I've heard of problems after doing that....my buddy did it and had issues afterwards.

i cleaned my throttle body and even opened the blade myself and nothing happened to mine but that doesnt mean it wont to others, i cleaned mine with break cleaner and a rag and got it all shined up again..what i noticed after is a quick jump in rpms once i started the truck up but a minute later it setled back down..for my test drive i noticed a great change in throttle response and it felt WAYY more responsive..also my throttle body was really dirty thats probably why..i also cleaned my MAF sensor and my IAC valve located on the throttle body and that helped alot too
