Sent in the lm2 Yukon for an oil change today . When I got home i found that it appears that they forgot to reset the oil life monitor . Is there any feasible way to check if the oil was actually changed ? The oil is already pitch black as expected for a diesel

I would say that since oil is black and oil life monitor wasn't reset good chance it wasn't changed.

You might look to see if drain plug looks to have been wiped off and around filter for signs of clean area or if looks like nothing has been touched would wonder for sure.

Well, if your write up was correct and included the correct amount of oil and a new filter, it's more than likely that it got changed. Not abnormal for these places to forget to reset the oil minder. Take a quick look underneath and see if it's a brand-new oil filter. If it is, there's no way they change the filter and didn't pull the plug to change the oil.

How far did you drive home before you checked the oil? When I had my 2004 LLY Duramax it would take a few days or about 100 miles before the oil was pitch black. Iam saying the oil wasn't changed.
