Stiffen what up? The frame is strong enough to keep the truck together. And what do you mean by chop the top? The whole thing except the windshield or just the cargo area?

Either way, don't do it. I topped the top one of my cars and I regretted it. I ended up selling it pretty soon after that.

There's a reason car manufacturers hardly ever made 4-door convertibles, they look rediculous. If done right, maybe a 2-door Tahoe, but a 4-door would look just asinine stupid. And convertible pickups were always gay, and ever will be.

The targa-top that Sunlit looks ok, but still no, but I have tossed around the idea of chopping the roof off the cargo area on mine for a few years and having a canvas top made for functional purposes on off road trips.

Only reason to ever cut the roof off your truck, if you own a rock crawler/trail used XJ Jeep that is "trail use only". Doing this to a daily driver/street able truck would be retarded

The 2 door looks kinda like a K5. Maybe if you did it that way. Am I the only one who thinks it'd be cool to do it like a k5 and make the top removable/reattachable?!
