All the pics here:

I did the whole kit, but I put the camera in the truck after doing the rears, and raised the lift, and did not get many front pics. sorry i did not do better, but i will throw these up, in case someone is researching and wants to see the deal. you DO need wrenches from 18mm up to 21mm.

the 739 kit includes 2 inch drop spindles, but no front springs,
and the front adjustable struts,
and rear shocks, and rear springs.

my understanding is the 739SP kit would have had the front springs.

my SUV has ~110k miles, so the shocks & struts were required, the lowering was just for convenience, it's hard to do seatbelts in the G-Kids carseats for short wife.

hang the calipers by wire from truck, or lay on rear control arms.

basically for the rear, support the rear end, pull the shocks, wiggle the springs out, wiggle them back in (see saw the rear end down on each side)

you can NOT support it by the sway bar, we had to move this under the pumpkin

make sure you re-use the OEM isolators (the rear springs come with some plastic parts I did not use, maybe Tony can chime in, they are in the box, in the pics)

the front was tough.

i had a HECK of a time getting the ball joints out of the spindle.
my buddy beleives in just hitting the spindle until the mechanical resonance makes the dis-similar metals lose their adhesion.

he finally got that to work (about 30 taps, about 30 wail on it, and ~30 more taps)

i set the adjustable strut up WAY to short, as you can see by the pics in the field. that severe drop is one 10mm & one 8mm ring.

IMAG1239.gif

my rims offset has the tire edge too far out, and it would have hit the fender lip.

i had the truck on a lift, and had to use a floor jack and a post about 3.5 feet tall to lift up on the bottom of the strut to get it out with the spindle intact.

in the pic at the gas station, and in the driveway, i put 3 more rings on the strut (a 10mm, and 2 8mm)

FWIW, everyone on this forum seems to rave about how "good" it rides, but to me, it is harsh & rough... like a performance car, not at all plush & nice like a nice family SUV.

that may be desirable if you are young, but I have 3 other cars that ride like that, and i want one DECENT vehicle to travel in that does not beat you to death.

YMMV, but it is nice & low, just a bit abrupt on Botts Dots.

lets start with the rear end. You support the frame on jackstands and have to have the rear end hanging down then you just put th ejack under the rear end pump it so barly lifts rear end take off shocks put new shocks on but dont attach to axle yet but shock extender brackets on then let the floor jack down a little. SPrings pop right ou then put in new springs and jack up rear end and attach lower shocks. at most takes 1 hour.

the black spacers are 1 inch lifting spacers per side if someone doesnt want the full 4 inch drop. If your not using the rear spacers and have the full drop you need to cut the rear bumpstop bracket off the frame completly to get a good ride.

739sp kit is front spindles and front drop struts not springs.

front struts are so easy to get out. you unloosen the swaybar from both lowr control arms and push down on the a arm and the strut comes right out maybe 10 minutes to do this.

as for ride. the 23323 kit does not ride as good as the 5305 springs thats why I dont sell them. the kit with the 5305 springs ride better in rear especially when load is on it. See unlike other online sellers that will just sell parts I actaully install these kits so Ive been thru this so many times but a person that just sells these kits they don't install. They won't be there 24/7 to help you. They get a sale and if you have a issue take it up with someone else.

as for the drop struts how much of the front bumpstops did you guys cut? If you dont cut enough it will just ride bad because no real travel in shock when you hit a bump.

Also what is the inspection date on the drop strut box??

Tony,

I received the 34324 springs as part of your BELA14 kit over the weekend. Do you know how these compare to the 5305 springs?

Do you have any suggestions/instructions for cutting off the rear bumpstop brackets?

Thanks,
Gail

34324 kit has the 5305 springs :)

let rear end hang down and sawzall with 8 inch blade and cut along frame. Then you can use a 4 inch wheel to cut the metal above where you couldnt cut off since its on the frame.

good info Tony, thanks for the clarification.

we took the sway bar ends very loose, but not completely loose.

I ordered from JEGS and they truly and completely farkled it up, and have NO IDEA what they are selling. it just weighed too much to ship it all back.

that full 4 inch rear drop is nice for the wife to load groceries, and especially when putting the third row seats in & out.

yeah, it rides rough :(

i beat jegs prices and back it up with 24/7 support and here all the time supporting our community I wish you spoke to me.

in rear you need to cut the bumpstop brackets off to get a better ride. ANother problem wiht the kit is that you dont get shock extenders. I dont care that the shocks are shorter when you go 3-4 inches you need shock extenders to get the shock position right.

Damn, hate to hear you aren't happy. It does look good though. Tony sold me a Belltech strut / shock kit. Ended up with one ring on each strut and a 2" spring pad in the rear. I couldn't be more happy with my ride.

I like a little rake.............

Thats why im trying to figure out

1) If he cut front bumpstops
2) what is the production date on the struts

Lots of places just slap in the old struts if they have it in stock and it has the different valving the newer belltech struts which I ship out are the new version which ride better.

I would not have sold him spindles and drop struts waste of money. all he needed was drop struts and would have been fine for the drop he wanted.

did not cut front bump stops, did cut rear.

it's bearable, just not PLUSH, like it was
was a big fat comfy SUV,
now it's got a little performance edge too it (and it does not have as much body roll in fast sweepers off/on interstate)

yeah, I shoulda ordered from you, i am now your biggest fan..,you only one knows what Belltech is selling.
