How can I get the display message to reset? I have bought and changed a brand new battery in the key fob but it still displays every time we start the vehicle until we hit the checkmark on the DIC.

Thanks

I fixed it I guess. For anyone else looking to solve this problem. I re-programmed the truck to the key fob after changing the battery and the "battery low in remote key" display hasn't came back on.

Ok, this morning it came back on the DIC display. How can I get this to turn off and stay off after a brand new battery was installed?

Thanks.

We weren't able to find any troubleshooting information for you, shogun. If we could get the last 8 digits of your VIN, we could see if an internal technical department would be able to give us any insight.

Thank you shogun! I have sent the question over to them. As it is submitted electronically, it may be a few days before I have an answer for you.

Thanks.

Anyone else have any ideas. It still comes on every time the truck is started.

I'm afraid our internal resource was unable to provide any information for you on how to resolve this. My apologies! Hopefully somebody on the forum will be able to help you with DIY advice; if you want to get this checked out with a dealership (understand that isn't always an option once a vehicle is outside of warranty), let us know and we'll help you with that process.

I figured out a solution to my problem. I purchased a new key fob and programmed them. It fixed the dic message I was getting.
