Hubcentric Rings

getting ready to put my new wheels on that are sitting in my living room gleaming with shine and tires that never seen the road. the center bore of the rims is a 87 (millimeters ??) and im being told that the center hub on my 4wd Tahoe is 78.1. i have bought two separate sets of hub rings bc i thought the first kind fit too loosely on the hub, the new pair does too. the ring sits in perfect and snugly into the wheel but fits loosely on the hub. do i need a hub ring with a smaller inside diameter?
