Modded where did you get your box built?
I'm trying to get a new one if I keep the Tahoe.
I figured up the taxes on the truck today and I think it's too much.

Taxes are 6.25% in Texas.
My box was built by DL Designz and the plans for it were made by RAM Designs. (Google them)

You pay taxes on the full MSRP minus any reductions (like trade-ins).
Sometime people pay tax/title/registration outright, then finance the MSRP total. You can finance the whole package if you want, but you will pay interest on the total of them all if your loan has interest.
So if you have a car that the dealer is willing to sell for $30,000 out the door it will be $1875 (6.25%) in taxes (may be up to $500 more if there are any additional local taxes). Then add registration and title.
