humming noise in drivetrain

Have 02 z71 tahoe 160k ever sense i owned it its had a humming noise in the drivetrain seems to be comming from the back, it starts at 50mph on, the noise stops if you let off the gas then starts when you hit the gas again. Any ideas i have flushed all differential fluids also

Yeah, I have an 01 Tahoe that has been doing this since I've owned it (2 years now). Kinda thought it was normal.

I did have a Full size Chevy Blazer 1993 before that had this issue (after a rear axle rebuild). Took it back to repair shop, and they never could get it to fully go away, had something to do with how tightly the gears are wound in rear axle or something. Costly repair for a noisier rear-end.

i was starting to think that tell i rode in my friends 03 tahoe and it has no humming noise at all

most rear end noises are caused by the ring and pinion gears not meshing properly, this all has to do with who set it up , sometimes they last a while with a little noise , somewitmes the meshing is so tight it breaks the gears , just ride it out
