I'm in the middle of refreshing my AC (front and rear AC) - New seals all around, accumulator, orifice tube, expansion valve, etc... and found the capacities to be 40 oz r-134a and 11 oz of PAG oil... My question is how much oil should I add to each component.
I have done similar on my 33 year old BMW (with r12 though) and added the oil to the individual parts to equal the total system capacity - 2 oz condenser, 2 oz to evaporator, and the rest right into the compressor per BMW service manual. Is there a similar procedure from GM for these vehicles?
