The hard thing about CF is, what if they ship it and it becomes damaged. Who will fix it? Not every shop will know how to properly repair CF. Its a big ass box that thing will ship in.

I like my truck and all buuuut... Not that much

John

Lol. You don't wanna spend a grand on your truck? The Hybrid conversion probably would have cost you 5x that.

It kills me... I had a friend that was convinced that buying a $10,000 motorcycle was going to "save him money" in by using less Gas... Even at 18mpg or 17mpg purchasing a second car or anything that gets 35mpg would not pay for the extra you pay for insurance, the car, and everything in the time you will own the car.

Same goes here... $5000 or even $1000 will save you maybe, possibly .5mpg, just say 2mpg...

If you average $75 per week in gas now how much is 2mpg going to really save you?

$75/week x 52 weeks = $3900 / year in fuel NOW

Let us assume you get 17mpg average now and you will get magically 19mpg after a mod, how much is that worth.

By adding 2mpg, everything being equal, you will now spend on average $67.11 per week in gas. or

$67.11/ week x 5s weeks = $3489.47...

For an annual savings of $510 per year

If you pay $5000 for the modifications to be more "aero" friendly, it will take you 10 YEARS to pay for the modifications you did, in the mean time you could have invested that money and effort into the stock market and almost broken even with what you saved in gas...
