Hi everyone I'm new to the site and new to the hybrid world I have an 08 gmc yukon hybrid. The question that has been on my mind is this can a hybrid be modified or live tune with any tuner or efi live or does it already have the complete package and the max power it can deliver as far as hp torque and towing.

I'm sure soulsea (resident hybrid guru) will be in here in a little bit with more info, but you can also PM one of our forum sponsors JennaBear from Black Bear Performance

Back when I had one no canned or custom tune was available for the hybrids. Which is probably a good thing seen as their oe programming is very precise and specific to account for the complicated nature of the 2 mode system. Esthetic changes are relatively simple, engine and drivetrain you really want to leave alone in the hybrids.

I too have an 08 Yukon Hybrid and looked into a BBT or other tune last year. At that time, the Hybrid computer hadn't been cracked and I imagine it won't be until the demand is much higher. It's probably a good thing too...as Soulsea notes above, these motors are very finely tuned as they are... Best things to do are the second res delete and intake.

Who offers second res delete and intake? Best?

Second res delete can be done by any qualified muffler shop. As for the intake, it's debatable as to which one is the best. Airraid Jr and Volant are both popular setups. There are a ton of threads here on TYF. I don't have a dog in that fight because I've never pulled the trigger on an intake.
