Sorry, missed the year. I wanted that for just what you said. Is not drive by wire. Sooo, could be a fuel pressure regulator or failing fuel pump. Or, hell IDK.......
I FIGURED IT OUT! it was the fuel pump relay I broke out the stethoscope and it was clicking super weak I don’t have fog lights right now but Atleast my truck is running again until the relay blows again due to a worn fuel pump.

so to clarify it runs if you keep the idle up?
if so then you might try to clean the iac valve, the drive by cable throttle body's actually have one that is not fully integrated, clean it as good as you can and stick a rag in the hole where it sits and you can twist it around in there to get all the carbon out of there as well, when you put it back on it might idle a little weird for a minute while it relearns
It was a bad fuel pump relay. it wasn’t holding the connection from the 86-87 terminals I believe and that’s why it’d run then quit. I don’t have fog lights until I find my spare relay but hey my truck brought me to and from work today. I also figured out the issue with getting 0 electricals at times, the battery terminals are bad. It’ll probably keep burning relays until I change the fuel pump but for now I don’t need to bum rides.

If you do the fuel pump do the regulator at same time and any evap pieces in that area while in there. Do yourself a favor, use Genuine GM parts.
It’s on the back burner because I need tie rods and other steering components but when I do I will do it’ll be pricey.

When was the last time the fuel filter was changed? It's located along the inside of the frame on the driver's side
