I dare not do this but has anyone ever done something to someone texting and driving?

So in order to right a wrong, texting while driving, you are going to use air horns? Wow that is the ******* dumbest thing I have heard.

Horns are commonly used to alert other drivers. I think honking a horn that is louder than the standard automotive horn to alert a distracted driver is a very practical idea.

I drive for a living and estimate that 60-70% of all drivers I see are doing something on their 'smart' phone while driving. One of them will kill me some day...

I guess so is running people off the road if you do not like the way they drive. Train horns are retarded, I hope all that gets them gets their vehicle impounded.

Completely different. One you are simply bringing their attention back to driving, the other you are intentionally causing them physical harm. Running someone off the road is a criminal act.

I'm not a believer in train horns. I think a lot of people just use them to pull up on folks walking to scare the crap out of them. But, I do also think that a normal horn doesn't cause a break in a distracted driver. Something louder than the norm does. For example, a police siren, fire engine horn, etc, causes a driver to look around and be aware of their surroundings. If that saves a life, then I am game.

Guess you'd need to see the aftermath of what's caused by drivers who text and end up killing or hurting people.

Ya because using a train horn which is much louder is sooooo safe. Call the police station if you feel like sometime is driving unsafe.

I don't see the issue. Emergency vehicles have loud sirens and horns to divert attention to other drivers' surroundings.

Texting while driving is not a criminal act where I am from, so calling law enforcement to report it, much less how many jurisdictions this person will cross by the time law enforcement catches up IF it was a crime, would be a waste of time.
