I installed the K&N catch can last Sunday. Granted we had some pretty significant cold weather here in Louisiana this past week, but still!

Track the fluid ounces of oil captured and the miles driven. This will give you a long term view of the catch can's functioning. After 14,000 miles of tracking, I'm averaging just under 1 fluid ounce of oil captured for every 1000 miles driven.

I'm on my 2nd oil change since buying it, but I changed to 10-30 the first time.

5-30 should be sufficient, that's what we put in the wife's 16 and it has been fine since then. We bought it used with just a hair under 100k and it used about 2qt's between oil changes with 0-20. It needed a good intake cleaning as well. it's been pretty solid otherwise.
the 18 silverado i have (same engine as the suv's) has about 65k on it, doesn't use a drop of oil and I drive the hell out of it.
