Well, since I have some free time. I started to mess with my tahoe.

In the pictures I was running a 20/22 combo and wanted to go with a 22/24 combo on a static drop.

Well here the feel bad part.

This is the truck right after I brought it

20's all the way around. nice and low.

Well the bad part is....drumroll

It was ghetto dropped.

1. the leafs are flipped under the axle with the factory hangers still in place.
2. it have been cnotched and notched for the drive shaft.
3. the shocks on the back were something for a ford festiva on shock extenders.
4. The front shocks have an aftermarket spring
5. The front shocks was still the original factory shocks.
6. factory spindle

So I was wondering why I dented all my wheels ......no shocks!

I brought a set of drop shocks but i'm putting them in the garage for another vehicle. Right now I replace the front with factory shocks and going to replace the rear with factory...my not be low but I will be smooth.

1) that is just a flip kit in rear you need the lifting hanger or lifting shackle to bring it up a little and it would be fine.

2) c notched you have to do that low and yes notching for driveshaft is nothing new

3) the rear shocks if your using shock extenders rear shocks should be 19.5 inches extended at most

4) The front has aftermarket springs do you know what kind? in front how much space do you have between the front a a arm bumpstop and frame. If there is almost none that is the ride problem.

5) front shocks with lowered springs 13.5 inches longest shock should be

6) get a 2 inch djm spindle and ride will be much better. You will have to change springs but will have more travel than what you have now and much better ride. In front djm spindles/djm drop springs/djm shocks rides great in my customers tahoes.

How is that a ghetto drop?? Ghetto would have been an axle flip with no notch and torch cut springs with no alignment up front ...

In the front if its on stock spindles thats a 4 inch drop. 4 inch drop by springs is pretty much no movement on front suspension.
