My hoe has been running great, I have a few minor issues I'd like to take care of: rear main seal, master brake cylinder, and recharge the A/C. Other than a few minor items listed above, my 5.7L has been running great with no major issues. My hoe just turned 98K miles and so far I have had really good luck with it.

Almost 279k here... still rocking the factory motor.
Nothing major motor wise has ever been done since I've owned it:
  • Intake manifold gaskets have been replaced twice (2nd time I replaced the spider assembly and added the VMax Spacer)
  • Crankshaft seal and oil pan gasket have been replaced - replaced timing chain while I was in there. Still have an oil leak due to a groove being worn on the shaft... Grrr.
  • Transmission has been gone through twice (I think the 2nd time was because they didn't do it right the 1st time)
  • Rear axles have been replaced (bearings had pitted them) and Tru-Trac installed (while they were in there, might as well).
Your trucks are just getting broken-in good, motor-wise. Treat 'em right and the motor will last you a very looooong time.
