I got a '11 Avalanche today.

I'm keeping the hoe.

In a previous post I told of my tales of woe. I'm still on the road, Mechanic is putting new heads on the hoe. I have to deliver a boat to up to Annapolis and leave Saturday. The hoe should be done by the time I get back down here to Georgia. At that point I will ship it home to the west coast and drive the Avalanche home. (anyone know of a good auto transport company?)
There are other things I have to fix on the hoe and since I'll be driving across country at least 2 more times before September I needed a vehicle I can rely on.

This will give me a chance to park the hoe and do the work to her that I really want to do.

I have only owned/driven a Tahoe since they went to the new body style from the old K5's. What's that?...Almost 20 years now? I'm 90 miles shy of 350K miles on this one

The Avalanche is a real sweet ride but I have to say...I really love my hoe.

Nice purchase and I, too, and partial to that front nose of the Av :D

Really glad you're hanging on to the Hoe as a secondary vehicle. After 350k it's a part of you now :)

Thanks guys.
That's funny. I'm kind of partial to the old style with the real steel bumpers. Guess I'm just an old fart.
Looking at grill/brush guards right now. Need someplace to put my driving lights. Going to raise the front end a bit and might do some paint work like my hoe.
Funny how all of us here get something new and immediately want to change a bunch of shit. Guess it's in our blood.

You're right 07Burb. My butt knows exactly when the Tahoe isn't running right.
Just before this trip I had done a complete brake job, new shocks and suspension bushings. She rode better than she has in years

unknown at this time.
Evergreen Auto Transport does good work. Should cost less then $1500 to go cross country. Or Uhaul trailer it home. Better yet tow the the new truck with the tahoe.
