I'll be following this thread, as I want to get a large brake kit, and will be needing to use something larger than a 17" wheel as a spare...

I'll be following this thread, as I want to get a large brake kit, and will be needing to use something larger than a 17" wheel as a spare...

I ordered the kit and the stronger hoist and it's getting installed next week.

When it's being installed I'll have a look to see how much room there is in the wheel cradle for a bigger/wheel tire ... but my guess is if it can fit the oem 22s you can put another wheel in there as long as the overall size isn't too different. You'll just have to swap to the stronger hoist for it.

Bi-directional tire for my spare?

I was going to buy the GM spec GOODYEAR WRANGLER ST 265/70/17 spare tire ... why would I need anything more complicated for short distances? :think:
