I might have found a gem that is about 1/2 mile from my American Legion post

I have had a change of heart on some of my initial "things to do" list.

I was having problems figuring out the Kenwood radio/cd player. I found an owner's manual PDF and printed it out and read it. I now have the radio set up the way I want and will be keeping it.

I am going to run the tires that are on it till they need replaced and will be keeping the stock Z71 wheels on it.

I am also going to leave the stock exhaust on it for now and change it to like what I have on my 2002 next year sometime.

I am also going to leave the wind deflectors on it for now. They are growing on me as of now.

The only thing I am going to do asap is the scuff marks on the corners of the front bumper. The rest of the paint looks real good.

I am going to inspect the tune components and replace as needed. All of the fluids were done just before I bought it so that is fine for now.

I am going to go to my auto repair shop that I use when I don't want to do things myself and get it in the air to really look this rig over and make a list if we find anything. I used to work with both the techs that own this shop so they will have no problem with me getting in there under the rig with them.

So, for now, any "Build Thread" will have to wait. The only things that have been done so far are the new Husky mats I provided pics of and new wipers because the ones on there are crap and I have got new ones coming from RA. The passenger seat side bezel is coming and will be replaced soon and pics posted.

Very soon I will be listing my 2002 LT for sale. It is nice to have two rigs but I really don't need two rigs. I live where I work and typically only put 3k-4k miles on a rig a year.

This morning I went to do a bank deposit and was the first time I played with all the steering wheel controls. As the seller said, "It all works as it should". He was correct. It is weird for me to look in the rear view and see a complete view instead of the split view provided by my barn doors on my 2002.

@Tonyrodz, it is close but not exactly like it. Mine also has that convenient storage hole under it.

At top of face it says: Excelon and then KDC X599

Your Tahoe is in excellent condition in and out. Nice find!

It is but the scrapes at the corners of the front bumper need attention. That will be done asap. I am getting used to the taller stance of it compared to my 2002. I back it in under the carport and can see just 2" clearance on the front header board.

I just put my 2002 on CL about 2 hours ago and I have a guy coming right now to look at it. My cramped car port with 2 Tahoe's may be more roomy in about 30 minutes when he gets here. He said he has been looking and looking for a NBS with barn doors. I haven't even had a chance to clean up the inside carpets but it may be a no biggee with him. I listed at $7k or best offer.

Good luck.

I had to hurry and clear out the papers, jumper cables, and all the miscellaneous crap that gets thrown in the center console and the glove compartment. I fully expected to have it up on CL for a week to 10 days before anyone got serious. I wish now I would have listed for $8k and that money back pays for the new Z71 I have.

I am hoping to update my signature soon.

I'm sure he'll most likely buy it, due to the lack of barn doors and good condition nbs rigs out there. I wouldn't let him talk me down for those exact reasons--but that's just me.
