I might have found a gem that is about 1/2 mile from my American Legion post

Did he buy it yet?

He said he really likes the rig and it drove fine and could feel the difference of the Corvette servo but wants to do some research about the folding mirrors. He said it will not fit in his garage unless the mirrors are folded in and did not want to have to get out and do the passenger side mirror each time he pulled in to the garage. That is why I asked about the power folding mirrors.

I did have another guy call that is over in a place we call Christmas Valley, desert area of Oregon. Bit of a drive. He said his wife wrecked their vehicle and they need another. I told him my bottom dollar is $6500 and I did not want him to make the long round trip here if he thought he could get it for less. I told him that is why I listed all the things I did to it since I bought it. I checked and it has been exactly a year since I put tires on it and they only have 5k miles on them since then. Custom wheels, Corvette servo, new front chrome bumper section, new rear pads, rear park brake shoes, new rotors, rear axle seals, all fluids changed and I mean all fluids. Plugs, wires, air filter, fuel filter, water pump, belts, tensioners and idlers. Oil cooler block off plate. Drivers seat leather repair and seat bucket welded. Both front door hinge pins. Full synthetic oil and AC Delco or Wix oil filter for every oil change. Used nothing but AC Delco parts throughout and I have all the receipts to prove all my claims.

He had no problem with the driver's mirror but did not want to get out to pull in the passenger mirror. He likes it and the price and may still buy it. I know it will sell pretty quick. I was driving it instead of the new one till I got it down to 1/4 tank. Then I started driving my new one. 1/4 tank for the test drives.

The only problem I have is some scratches at the drivers door key and edge area. I have the touch up paint as a spray and a stick but I don't know what I am doing and will give all that to the buyer.

If anyone complains about that they need to understand it's an 18 yr old vehicle.
I can't tell from the pics, but if they're not deep scratches you might be able to wet sand and buff--or just buff with compound and an orbital buffer.

I looked and the scratches are in to the primer. He does realize it is an 18 year old vehicle and did say it was in great shape for that age and liked the low miles. He said he knows how to touch up and I just accepted that. That is why my CL ad for it mentions the scratches and has a pic of them. Not gonna try to hide anything. Mechanically it is in tip top shape, the scratches and the clear coat at the top of both driver's side doors are the only flaws in the body. No rust anywhere at all. No leaks anywhere. Performs flawlessly.

Hell, now I am talking myself in to keeping it and having a pair of them.
