It is going to be an upgrade for the factory 10 bolt in a SCSB 99 Silverado.
Some useful info on that page.
also what kind of truck are you planning on installing it in? You know the van rear ends are shorter width wise than the same year pick up trucks.
Throwing wider wheels on the rear?It is going to be an upgrade for the factory 10 bolt in a SCSB 99 Silverado.
It's a Dana Super 60 for GM. 9.75" ring gear right? Dana Super
I agree with you but we are cutting the spring pitches and relocating them. The truck it is going under is a street/strip build and this is the must economical route to put a bulletproof rearend under the truck. That is why I am asking about it. Everything in/on the rearend except for the brakes is Dana, but it’s gonna need a posi.Throwing wider wheels on the rear?
Not to insinuate that you don’t know what you’re doing. I know I just learned that the express van rears are significantly cut down from the pick up truck rears. Assuming majority of the HD truck suspension crosses over to the vans, I was recently shopping to get 4.10 12 bolt out of a Silverado (they’re much easier to find). It’s not a matching rear.
A 9.5" semi floater with a Trutrac and c-clip eliminators (if going faster than 9.99) would be less expensive no?I agree with you but we are cutting the spring pitches and relocating them.
