he wants to go lower but run a wide tire is what im reading..

lower-hangers
wide tire-roll the lips or get some different rims with a better offset..
better ride- cnotch the rear for about 4-6 more inches of travel

flip kit would put you too low.

WOW, not exactly what I want, truck still is my DD so it will see the elements!

My front is fine for now, think its maxed due to crank and tire size. Just want to take the bite out of the rake.

The helper leaf was removed by the preivious owner not by me. Is that the same as the oveload spring?

Shackles...I can just un-bolt stock one's and install "new drop ones"? I know sounds easy...but nothing has been easy on my truck.

Like I said, looking to keep a wide tire for the blower, but not looking for a small tire.

C-notch is fine, to create more space for the rear diff to travel, but then that also means more capability of tires rubbing :(

NO NO NO FIN Way am I ditching my FOOSE's!

yup im pretty sure we are talking about the same leaf spring

and the shackles are pretty simple
u have to jack the truck up put the frame on jack stands with the axles suspended with the wheels off the ground
then put the jack under the rear diff taking the weight off the springs
unbolt old shackles jack the diff up a few inches line up the new shackle and bolt it up.
bam done u wont see to much drop with the shackles it will help ur rake
but i wasn't satisfied with the drop Personally.
if i were u just get the shackles and crank the keys upfront a little and ur good
then u can run a larger tire and not scrub.
hope that helped

How low of shackle? 2"?

ya it gives about 2 1.5/2 inches
and i rolled them and that wasn't enough
then i cut alot
i pretty much cut the fenders just below the top of the flares
thats how much i trimmed but
i dont remember my offset the rims were pretty large and the fenders sat on top of the tire
so i just went to town cutting with out going above the flare and called it a day...

What size shackles did you go with? Do you still have your fender wells in the rear?
