WOW, I mean how did you keep the rear fender flares mounted as you cut? Just cut and re-mount flares?

My flares r the sport flares at the very top there's this metal trim
That's kinda molded into the flare I trimmed as close as I could
So they were pretty much mounted stock like.

And one flare was broken due to a accident and I think I used
Some kind of double sided tape like 3M stuff.

But it depends on ur rim off set to how much trimming u will have todo
And tire size. But that was with a flip kit and my fender flares were sitting at 28 3/4
inches in all corners

But if u stick to shackles's you won't have to trim.

Sweet...305/40/22 is my tire!

Going to order 2" drop shackles!

You also had the leaf removed in that pic too?

I'm not totally sure I think in that pic it was just shackles. So with out the leaf it's like almost a inch lower

I'm going to go with 305/40/22

Thanks and a 2 in shackle...i'll go from there...see what kind of trimming I need to do. Going to be a busy day. Figure I will do it while I'll do my rear brakes, seals and start painting and undercoating everything.

Start soaking my bolts with penetrating oil now! If they do break, does the kit come with new ones?

i also know alot about lowering. i just recently put a flip kit on my two door from drop springs. ive lowered alot of trucks and tahoes. keep in mind...if you want to maintain a good ride. you can flip the rear which i highly recommend cuz you can then re use your factory leaf springs and not have to take them apart.

for every leaf you take the weaker the payload and the softer the ride(bouncy). so if you tow anything that may put a damper on the party. fipping the rear on a four door drops you six inches. buy a lift shackle and you can bring it up as much as you want. that is the more logical way of doing it imo. as far as tires go. i have a buddy who was running 305/40/22 no problem. i put a flip kit on my two door but it brings the two door to 7.5 inches cuz of the wheelbase. i had to put lift shackles to pick me back up to 5.5 and i reinstalled my air ride. rides 3x better than drop springs.

just something to think aobut....hope this helps.

both clean95 and foreverfalcon....sick ass rides. i may try and post some pics of mine. im not tucking but it always looks sick to see someone who is....especially with a two door

U shouldn't need to do any trimming with just shackles
And the bolts shouldn't be to bad and no they don't come with new bolts
