Started in March of 2011 with a one owner 1997 2 door with 95K miles.
Got it from South Carolina so no rust issues to deal with.
It had just gotten 4 new tires, new brakes all around, Intake gaskets and high pressure oil lines.

Previous owner was a heavy smoker so I changed out the entire interior.
Carpet, headliner, visors, Katskins on the seats and heated them as well.
New stock cd radio with 4 new speakers and a new cubby were next.
Added a homelink module in place of the garage door opener lid.
Relamped the dash and fixed/calibrated fuel gauge and temp gauge.
New headlamp switch, 4 wheel drive selector and defog unit.
Swapped out the steering wheel from the 1997 tahoe I bought new back in 1997
Added temp rear view mirror and stock heated side view mirrors.

Water pump and power steering pump started leaking so I replaced those.

New Bilstein shocks all around, rear axle seals and bearings.
Amsoil sythetic fluids all around.
Re lensed the whole front and rear of vehicle.

Added stock foglights, diesel bumper and stock fog light switch and harnesses
Added all the stock skid plates.

Buffed it out and waxed it to a mirror shine

I think I'm finally finished!
It now has 113K miles and may be 17 years old but it looks fricken awesome!

Who the f*ck does that?

Post pics or close the thread!

No such thing as being done. I bet you want to throw on a bigger set of tires and lil lift with that diesel bumper.

Really nice truck. I like the radio CD unit, what year truck did it come from? I have a 99 and the CD is located in cubby below. About half the bulbs are out anyway so I would like to replace it with a unit like yours and install the cubby replacement. I also like the front bumper, were they only on diesels, did you get yours used or is it an aftermarket item. Thanks

The nbs 99-03 GM pickups and suv's came with the CD in the head unit and the tape in the cubby below. The cubby replacement cost me $10 from the dealer, and the headunit fits right in.

The chrome bumper with the holes in it came on diesels only, but you can get a painted one off a Z71 Tahoe. LMC will have both for a reasonable price.
