Cool thanks for the links, I'm tinting my headlights and fogs so I wanted to make sure I have enough light going through. I don't really drive my Tahoe that much and really never on the highway only from my house in the sticks to town, I really only drive it on my days off its just my days off truck u know.

Before the HID kit, make sure you get a projector retrofit from blackflamecustoms.com :)

Just trying to make sure people on the forum make knowledgeable decisions before putting oncoming traffic at risk from blinding lights and possibly getting pulled over for illegal lighting...

You'll love retrofits! IMO, putting HIDs in stock housings isn't really a noticeable difference. Except for light output everywhere! I love the clean cutoff lines on my setup.

I do plan to do a retrofit down the road, but I want to do It on my own slowly to get it done right. My headlights look like crap currently and it bugs the hell outta me every time I look at my truck, so in order to complete the look and not spend close to a grand on headlights this is a simple and effective solution. I understand that there can be a glare to oncoming traffic but I do not drive my Tahoe more than two to three times a week if that, I just want to make sure I have enough light transmitted to where if I drive at night I can emit enough light to see the road. This will end up being a mostly show vehicle anyway so I understand your concerns but take into consideration my situation.

Well, I purchased a ddm 55w kit (6000k) before I decided to do a retrofit. Since I am not going to use them, I'd be happy to sell them to you. My loss is your gain. If you are interested let me know.
