Putting HID globes into a reflector housing designed for halogen bulb is indeed dangerous to yourself and other as well as illegal. It is impossible for the reflector to properly shape and focus the beam. The focal point for those globes is at a different height. Instead of a filament with a hot spot in the center the arc lamp in HID glob has two hot spots, near the electrodes. You will probably be lighting up the trees and road signs over head, flooding the foreground in front of your vehicle, negatively effecting any sort of night adapted vision and possibly putting less light down the road than your current setup. Light will be scattered as it passes through the headlight front and will be made much worse by the tint you are going to apply. And your going to be using cheap components of unknown quality.
