Hey everyone. I want to pull the trigger on these wheels I saw on ebay, but I am a little apprehensive for a few reasons. Here is the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/20-C...ptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories

I am hesitant because:

1. I'm just not sure what exactly "factory reproduction" entails. Is it poor quality or just not branded/manufactured by GM?

2. I currently have the stock LS 17's. Are there going to be any modifications i need to make if I go to a 20" wheels? ie, tire pressure sensors, or anything that relates to the odometer (because the diameter of the wheel is now larger).

Sorry if I'm using the wrong words or phrasing, I'm just not very tech savy, but I think you all get what my concerns are. THANK YOU in advance for your help!

I like the flat back ones. Shouldn't have any problem with them. Your concerns about the odometer would be based on what size tires you put on them. Are your stock tires 285's? I'm not up on what sizes come stock...but if you get the same outer diameter, you won't have a problem. Should be good to go.

Awesome, thank you! Do you see the tire pressure sensors being a potential problem. I'm not sure how them work, but is that more a concern with the tire and not the wheel?

Yes, I really like flat black ones. I am the second owner the tahoe, but they seem to be stock tires. So I'm sure all will be okay. That is good to know about my odometer concern.

My Yukon came with 17" wheels and I changed to a factory 22" wheel. I just looked up what the size tire the 22" wheels came stock with and according to my Garmin its only like 1 MPH off. I am not sure how exactly how accurate that Garmin's are but its pretty close in every other car I have used it in.

I used the 22" wheels previously on my 06 Sierra which did not have the pressure sensors so currently I have no sensors installed. When I first start up the vehicle it gives me a warning to check the sensors and all I have to do is push the trip reset button but the gauge cluster will show a little yellow colored tire showing flat tires and you of course will not be able to see the PSI of the tires.

Good to know. So will I need a different (larger) tire size with 20s vs. 17s? I have about 10-15k left on the tires I have now, and was planning on putting the 20s on the existing tires. Is that possible? Sorry if these questions are pretty elementry!

Well of course you would need a tire that fits a 20" rim. the 17" tire only have a 17" hole

haha... I painted myself green with that question huh? Well I don't claim to be an expert on any of this, I just love my tahoe and want to make some slight mods to make her my own. Thanks for the response...and everyone's patience!
