Over time I have figured out a thing or two about my tools. The tools I would use the most, like chrome sockets, ratchets, screwdrivers, battery powered tools, allen sockets, torx sockets, combination wrenches, ratchet wrenches....etc., I have my standard top tier tools made by Snap On, Mac, Matco and SK. The ones I use the least like impact and pry bars and certain test equipment and oil change and specialty tools....etc., I do not have top of the line and those can be replaced for a better price.

I wish I had at least a 2 bay shop or maybe 3 bay. I know I could sell enough work to stay busy in this area. Every shop is getting at least $150 an hour and there is always a waiting list. I could stay busy here, 7 days a week, if I had a lift. The money to open a shop would take all my savings and then some. My friend, about 12 miles away in his shop, is by himself, just got a new lift, and he has vehicles stacked outside and is never at a loss for work. @89Suburban, you being in a salt state would love it here in a no rust state. Long way to move but the weather was worth it when I left KC, Mo. for here.

Because there is no rust out here, there is a bunch of older square nose GM's out here.

You sell screwdrivers on CL? Lol

As I buy better, nicer tools, the wrenches and sockets I had multiples of I either gave to my neighbor or brother. The air tools and cheaper torque wrenches I donated to Goodwill. They give out free Lion's Choice vouchers when making a donation. I like Lion's Choice

My girl likes tools. If I have extra tools she gets first dibs. After that, there is a market here for used tools like screwdrivers. I have large complete sets of Craftsman slotted and phillips screwdrivers in the mix. $10 for each set. Some nut drivers and some that are big enough to make good pry bars. I already asked my favorite neighbor and he had no need. I always give them to him. He lets me use his bench grinder/wire wheel whenever I want and he has a vise if I need one that I can use.

Now I have to show off my tool boxes and messy garage. (The orange box isn't really snap-on.)

I put the air compressor in there because it gets all the swag stickers. I don't ever plan on returning to turning wrenches but If I had to, I don't want my box's to be full of stickers.
