Geez, I give up. Looks like I'm destined to be screwed no matter who I deal with. Yesterday I just HAD to crawl under the vehicle to look at the "new" transmission. The previous one was "purty", remember? This is what I saw.... now I'm pissed.

You wanted them to hold it and do nothing on it another 3-4 days while the paint cured? That plug can be replaced when you do the first fluid and filter which should be done at a few thousand miles to get the break-in material out. You can paint the pan then too or buy a new Dorman one that has a new plug and is already painted black. The rest you’ll never see.

Well it would have been nice if it didn't look like they had sled races on it around the shop. I'm just disappointed with it all now. How do you miss the two inspection covers when it's on the rack running for an hour like he said. The fluid is probably because they poured it all over the place and missed the fill tube. At least that's what I hope it is! If I bought the covers and the bolt it will cost me $25 to $30. I looked them up on Amazon, EBay, and Autozone. And yeah, OCD, painted or not, I just don't think it's right. And everyone wonders why I'm a Misanthrope. Screw it, I'm taking the Hawg out to get my head straight.

I’m pretty sure he built what he could find on short notice. Go back and get the inspection covers, I’m sure he has several. They just pop on.
