With the 6L80, it was the NHT equipped pickup trucks with the 6.2L.
6L90 equipped 2500 wagons and some pickups also had 3.73.

I would say that this really depends on what you are planning to do with the vehicle. If you are using it to tow on the highway then the 3.73 makes sense. If you are planning to off road and possibly add bigger, then even bigger tires, then you really want the 4.11.
