Hey Peeps,

I’m looking to do a tune up on my Hoe this weekend that includes
Spark plugs, wires, oil, oil filter, gas filter.

My question is, is it necessary to switch out ignition coils while I’m at it??

Not unless you wanna spend $500 extra, i did mine a few months back since i got a set of MSD ones on the cheap from someone who totalled their sierra. Didnt really notice any difference at all since mine were fine to begin with.

Not necessary, doesnt hurt especially if you got the money burining a hole in your pocket

The stock coils are good for pretty much anything street-able performance wise you can throw at the engine.

The $500+ you'd spend would be better off placed on a tune, gears, torque converter, etc...
