Welcome! I just signed up today. I see you have a 2007 Yukon SLT. I am also looking at that model but the 4.8L. Is bluetooth standard? Is there a 3rd row seat? What are your pros and cons. What issues have you had? Thanks!
No Bluetooth! I was surprised that it didn't have it. Ours has the 5.3, 3rd row and is very nice. Leather seats are very comfy, It also trailers the Grand National very well. The interior of it is nice, user friendly controls, full gauges, lots of info on the dash, plenty of cup holders
It has an exhaust manifold leak at the cyl head on the drivers side that needs fixed.
RUST! Only 7 years in Michigan - 2 years in Ohio and the underside of this truck looks like 100 year old farm equipment! It has a short in the passenger side tail light harness I need to rip apart and re-wire. If it gets jiggled just right the tail lights won't work.
I just got done installing a complete fuel pump module because the top of it rusted out (pump works just fine) Then I had to replace about 12" of steel fuel line because it was rusted through and spraying fuel....
GM took A LOT of shortcuts on their products during this platform run. Probably still are today. Rusted out within 10 years...poor wiring..."infamous" manifold tick (leak)...Oh and it burns about a quart of oil every ONE THOUSAND MILES... Completely unacceptable.
Overall Opinion: If I were to do it all over again, I would find a Yukon/Tahoe body with minimal rust, build my own LS motor, fresh trans, run PTFE AN fuel lines, run all new stainless steel brake lines, and I bet I would have way less than my purchase price of $16,000 in it.
