Hey guys, I was wondering how I can improve my ride quality. Meaning when going over bumps, overall driving and whatever. But how should I improve it.

Thnx

That's a seriously broad question. Where are you looking for improvements?

Generally speaking, if you don't wish to alter the height of the vehicle than keeping your tires air pressure good, replacing your shocks, & possibly a sway bar upgrade would be nice.

If you want to start swapping out suspension bits it gets more complicated. The tires you likely have on your 22's won't really be good for a smooth bump free ride though...

Actually, the tire makes a huge difference...wheel size does play a roll as 20" or under you can ride on a tire with some sidewall to it.

It also depends on your goal/ideal ride. A little more insight might help us guide you better.

Hey thnx guys alot for the feedback let me tell u wat happend.

I had gotten 22's cuz they looked awesome on the yukon. I really forgot bout ride quality. So I realized later on that the drive is lot more stiffer, though i love the height. Also answering the tire statements, I have some cheap dcenti tires (yes dcenti is the name of the tires, lol) on my wheels and were actually on there when I bought the wheels. So to my understanding of what u guys saying that if I were to upgrade to like michelins or something ride quality would improve??

Going back to answer Physh1, jdpber, bowtiefreak Im not a very technical guy. and i dont know how much new shocks would run me, so if u guys kno of a general # let me kno plus if u could tell me a good company for shocks, I hear Bilsteins are good but is there anything better???

Thanks alot guys

You can run Bilsteins http://www.shockwarehouse.com/index.cfm
However depending on the suspension package of your vehicle you might need to run Bilstein rear springs also or you ride will not be able to handle towing capacity. Rear may also be lower after installing Bilstein shocks only. Jst something to remember if yo go that route.

I'd start with rebuilding the suspension.

You'd be amazed a the improvement you'll get when you replace the suspension components after 80K or 100K miles.

I had an 02 Trailblazer which I rebuilt last year and it rode like a new vehicle afterward. I plan to do this on my Escalade this fall with 85K miles.

These are heavy vehicles and ******* the suspension components. Bushings, ball joints, tie rod ends, shocks, etc.

Just my $0.02-- other than shocks and rim size, tire quality makes a big difference. I just upgraded to top of the line tires from cheap-o's for the first time on my commuter car and WOW!!, world of difference.
