Just wanted to say a few things of my experience with Blackbear tuning. I drove 1 hour 45 minutes to Schaumburg and met Justin and Jared. Both are stand up guys-polite and fun to talk to. Jared kept me entertained while Justin was doing his thing. Justin was very informative and answered all my questions to the best of his knowledge. We took a test drive and had to stop to make a few adjustments but he got the most out of my truck. My Denali has better acceleration, firmer shifts, and improved fuel mileage. I was getting a little over 14 MPG's via the D.I.C on my way down. I checked again right before I pulled into my subdivision and was at 18.8 :D I have nothing but positive things to say and feel very fortunate that I was able to get an 'In-person' tune. Thanks fellas :Handshake:

Congrats. Welcome to the club. Makes such a big difference. I love my tune. I'm still debating whether to put the BB sticker on my truck.

Thanks. I'm not big on stickers either but I like the look of this one ;)

No problem--it was a blast.

I like the subtle approach ;) But I will definitely recommend you guys if asked about it.....

I'll second what Jason said. And Jason, pleasure to meet you and a couple of the others as well. Though perhaps I had the shortest drive to get to Schaumburg, just 14 miles.

My goal wasn't all out performance but just to improve some of the Denali's characteristics primarily when I'm towing. So with some laptop magic the Black Bear crew has transformed how the truck works when in Manual-Tow/Haul mode. I like that we were able to do that while pretty much leaving the other modes alone. Though the feel of the acceleration in Drive is dramatically improved too. And the throttle response on my ride home on the highway was much nicer too. Can't tell if the fuel economy is truly improved, I'll need a longer drive than the 14 miles home, but the onboard computer recorded a pretty significant 20.3 at just under 70, best I've ever recorded.

Now if I could convince Justin to come to the track with me one weekend and right-seat with me in my race car so he could work his magic on the Bosch Motronic engine management in the 911 race car and help me find a few more of those much needed racing horses. :)

Leave it to you to find something to make fun of.....good catch ;)

I agree. I was talking with a gentleman right before I left for my tuning session with Justin. He had a Sierra Denali Crew Cab with the 6.2 and said there was a quite a difference from stock after he returned-along with a big grin too.

It was nice to talk with you too--even it is was just for a min :D 20.3 avg mpg's----NiCe.

Less than 2 weeks left for me...I can't wait. Nashville!~

Its gonna be a long 2 weeks--but well worth it.
