GM powertrains have always been pretty reliable, at least the V8 ones. My 09 Yukon XL Denali AWD has been fantastic with about 26k on it right now.

I looked at the Hybrid version but look at the way you drive. Hybrids have a big increase in city gas mileage providing you don't use much throttle. On the highway they are a little better than their gas counterpart but initial cost is higher so it'll take years to save any $$. My Denali averages about 17-19 mpg at 75 mph which is real good IMO. Range is fantastic due to the 31 gallon tank.

1st...welcome aboard Thirsty :High 5:

2nd...While I agree with Felix and Blue to an extent I have an '07 and have had very good luck with it thus far. It drives nice, has all the features I could ever want and has been very reliable up to this point and I have no real complaints. So just take that for what it's worth. There are some things that were added or improved upon in the newer years and obviously can't go wrong going newer if the price is right :Handshake:

Just my 2 cents :D

I would consider an 07 if you want to keep the price down. M suburban is an 07 and has
76,500 miles on it and last week was the first time it went to a dealership for a warranty item ( 2 broken exhaust manifold bolts, common problem on the 6.0) so its been reliable for me.
