Very helpful, thanks!!!! After my last post I see the 4wd were all recirculating ball steering.

Im looking at some high mileage ones at 200k. As long as it has a nice clean interior and well maintained I will buy it. Im looking at these 2 this weekend since have the nicest interiors. I realize I may have to woory about a tranny, front/rear axle, front suspension, wheel bearings, and TC rebuild. But hopefull if maintained they will last

Man if I was selling mine distance wouldn't be an issue, I live near Frederick, definitely a good choice to get a Tahoe. They are basically a pickup with a cap on the back. Only problem is the transmission which was stated earlier but you could buy an upgraded one rated up to 500hp for $1300. https://frederick.craigslist.org/cto/5756060355.html
Don't know if you've seen that one yet and don't know your budget but it's clean only 175k miles so it still has lots of life left and the trans was rebuilt at 130k

I just picked up a 04 Esky 6.0 AWD, has 159k on it, runs and drives mint did all the fluids and they were fine, only issue is the trans/oil cooler lines leak picked up some AC Delco lines, and will need to replace all of the brake lines down the road due to GM using ****** metal on them

@Searay45db , unfortunately the 4L65E that came in my 2006 sucked just as bad. Gave out at 83k but that's partially because the previous owner treated it like crap and hammered it. Anyways I agree with you once they are rebuilt they are amazing!

Thanks, everyone!

I bought a 2003 GMC yukon SLT with 215k miles and paid only $2,500. The previous owner was moving the next day to FL with his huge sailboat and 2016 Loaded pearl colored Suburban and he needed the truck gone. All service records wince 20k miles. Despite the miles, the engine has plenty of power, transmission shifts sloppy at slow speeds, but firms up with more acceleration. All options with DVD player except Navigation and sunroof. Leather is in great condition, aside from small crack on drivers side. It has the Z55 suspension but the pump/rear shocks (dry rotted air bags) seem to be shot, but no light on dashboard indicating so. The pump does not run upon startup and airbags are empty. I will hopefully with my end of the year bonus buy some rebuilt Arnott rear air/electric shocks and some Monroe factory electric shocks and a Dorman or Arnott pump.

So far I have replaced front front window regulators, new LED tail light assemblies, 3rd brake light assembly, new headlight and turn signal assemblies (faded).

It failed MD safety inspection, due to Driver's seat motors not all operating as they should, just needs the memory seat module re-flashed at the dealer, Am I Correct??? And The Shifter indicator lighting is too dim. I will try to re-solder those reisistors on the instrument cluster board, like I have seen in youtube videos.
