My dealership told me he would go pick mine up 2 weeks ago and he is just 15 minutes away. Still haven’t got my Tahoe and now he says it needs a part. How the heck do you go from he will fill the form out to get a date and time to pick it up to it needs a part now. So frustrating.

A lot of us noticed that GM used the 4300 "intermediate delivery" code that is usually signifying switching rail yards or other post-production shipping movements for our trucks stuck in the storage yard. What is interested is that it showed 4300 in the software our dealers use, while internal employees on the other forums would show 3800 "vehicle produced" with no eta in their software when we asked for order updates.

Adding to the confusion: the event codes, while in numerical order, aren't always executed in chronological order. They just assumed that since it was all the way to 4300, they could pick it up. Really, they are missing parts, sitting in a storage yard. Our trucks need to move from 3800 "produced" to 4000 "ready to ship" or 4150 "invoiced" (or 4200 "shipped" and 4800 "rail ramp unload" in the case of us outside of TX) before the dealer can do anything.

Hopefully that clears things up a bit?

I reached out to the corporate offices at GM...the chat feature on Chevrolet's website will do nothing. You have to go to the "higher ups". It worked for me - my vehicle was delivered within a week of some strongly worded conversations.
What number did you call? Mine has been showing "in transit" for a month now. I would like to call the GM corporate offices.

My dealer showed me that this is the code for my vehicle:
4B00ORDER BAYED; VEHICLE IS WAITING ON TRANSPORTATION OR PULLED FOR QUALITY CONTROL
Anyone know exactly what this means? Is this on the better side of the codes in that it means it might actually get shipped to the dealer soon? Or is it a bad code in that it means i wont be getting my car in the foreseeable future because it has been pulled for QC?

Thanks,

Ole

So I am in the same boat as you all have been. I found an in transit z71 on 9/1/22. I put down a deposit 9/2 and told I could expect it mid September. Here it is now December and no real change. They went from telling me it was in a rail car, to a storage lot in Arlington, to bayed pending transport or pulled got quality control. This is frustrating as all get out as I SOLD MY CAR the first of September expecting my new one to arrive within a week or two. GM chat is not helpful and neither is my dealership. Any recommendations? How long did it take y’all to finally get your cars once they were in transit? Thanks!

22 or 23 model?

if 22, there's no telling when it'll show up. if 23 something is probably up because I think the 23s have been showing up at a decent rate...almost like they've using the ole LIFO method - last in first out...(if truely bayed then it may be missing parts so it doesn't matter the year)

It’s a 2023. Sorry I forgot to mention that. I’m hoping SOON!!!
