whens the last time you had a tune up?
i have friends that drive burbans with 26's and they take off quicker than my tahoe at time.
when i had 22's on my truck it accelerated the same way with the stock 16s but drove much better imo.
i want some 22s or 24s on this truck again...

but yea seafoam does wonders

Give the MAF and throttle body a good clean, check your fuel filter and pump, and throw some Seafoam in there.

Thanks. I did Seafoam about 3 weeks ago. Cant say I could tell a difference but.. I'm sure it did something. I will check the MAF and TB, seems like a good place to start.

To Droppedhoe, this truck has never had any balls, well compared to my Dodge.
To everyone suggesting my rims are the problem...Maybe a little but as said above, this truck never really had a pair. Even when I had the stock wheels on it.

How did you put the Seafoam in? Did you let it sit, and then swap out the oil after?

One thing I did to my 2001 yukon was take off the air intake, and clean the throttle body the best I could. There was a lot of grime built up around the valve and on the sensor, after I cleaned it with some carb cleaner or similar, the response was excellent. It made it drive like my friends 07 tahoe.

yea you may wanna clean the throttle body well..
i put a new fuel pump in last week and my truck flys now..i get 0-90 in about 9-10sec. everytime i put my foot down on the peddle i spin in tires which is starting to get irritating when at a red light and need to get over to the far lane.
on the highway it has a great response too...
i hope your fuel pump isnt about to go out..
when i stood outside my truck i could hear a high pitch whine, it was the fuel pump going out.

whatever the issue with your truck it should be a simple fix cuz like i said, i know ppl with burbans with 26s on them with 500 pounds worth of box/speakers/batteries in the back and they're truck run great to have the weight of the rims and stereo added to the truck... i will say at times when riding with them it puts a strain on the transmission

I sucked about half a can in through the vacuum line from the brake booster. Then I ran what I had left and another can through the gas. I did not add any to the crankcase directly. Should? This was my first time using seafoam. I let what i sucked through the vacuum line sit for about 5 mins then started the truck and let it run

I am going to clean out the MAF and TB this week.

As of right now I dont have much weight in the back ( cause I took it all out yesterday). But another thing I need to look into is trying to gain some MPG because I am about to put 4 18's in the back. Third row seat is gone, the new b ox pretty much takes up from teh back of the second seat to the barn doors. I am adding 500-600lbs between the new box which is 1.75" thick on all sides, the new subs 55lbs each and batteries I would guess about another 200lbs between the four of them.
