Inside storage issue/question

I was thinking of getting a marine battery box, and put it in the empty space under the hood that looks like a battery should be there. I am thinking of putting jumper cables, toe strap. Tow hitch and such.

i was thinking of taking off that little door in the rear, and cutting out the inside, so you can reach thru & get stuff.

it's a pain to take out the cupholder and try to reach down in there.

you see some SUV's with Subwoofers installed in there.

the Battery Box idea is GREAT, i have a battery box I am not using, i like for stuff to be out of the way, that will be great for stuff you don't use often.
