I have a 2007 Yukon SLT, I wanted to store a few items out of the way(jumper cables, air gage, first aid kit, etc) There is NO bin in the back, BUT I noticed next to the 3rd row seats that below the cup holders the large area under these seem to be empty/hollow and have a pattern that begs to be cut out as a mod to allow access to the seemingly empty space inside.

Anyone do this with any success?

Thanks!!

on the left side? Thats where the Jack is. In mine i put a hitch, Jumper cables and tow strap. Do you have a bench or capt seats? I have a bench in mine so under the bench i have a few items as well. Med kit, a Extendable lug wrench and a whole bucnh of kids toys and Cereal that fell under there.

yes I have a 3rd row and both backs are benches. I am new, as my Yukon is new to me, I did not know that area could be opened from the cup holder, THANKS!

The other side seems hollow, ever heard of anyone making it into a storage area somehow?

The other side is not hollow. The auxiliary fan is in there.

i have thought the same thing

I say the same thing to myself every time I see that - why doesn't someone make a kit to turn that dead area into useable bin
