Hey everyone, newbie here.

So, I just installed an aftermarket radio in my 2002 Yukon SLT (not bose system, w/ factory sub). And I am noticing a low hum coming from the small speaker above driver seat. Car phone speaker? Anyways, I noticed during the install the aftermkt radio used the FM adapter cable and the main wire harness (pwr, grnd, l/r spkrs, etc), but NOT the second wire harness. Is that for some sort of car phone hook up? Am I getting the feedback because that wire harness is no longer grounded or something?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

That is not a speaker, it's an ambient air temp sensor. You can try blowing compressed air up into it, or pull the headliner down a little bit and pull the sensor out, clean it or replace it, then reinstall.
