Hey, I have a wild question. 2003 Yukon. All stock audio. Crazy thing is when the outside temperature drops below 45 degrees F the audio does not work. At all. Turn off and on play with all channels buttons, bands, nothing... Drive it for about 30 minutes it starts working and scares the crap out of you cause the sound is loud!!
It's like an old 50's TV set like it has to warm up or something LOL. I have never seen anything like that in my life. Had the truck since it was new. Never did it before till last winter. I think it might be haunted... Anyone ever had this problem. Has Sirus XM stock also. Thanks everyone. Love the forum!!!

you are probably best off just replacing the radio, not sure if the 03 has a separate amp like the 00-02, I suppose it might if it is the bose system in which case it will be inside the center console.
so in that case it could technically be the radio or the amp
I have had it happen before, when things are cold as us men all know cold makes things shrink........
then when it heats up it expands and any loose connection is restored and bam, loud radio
others have opened up the radio and hit it with a heatgun or reflowed some of the solder and had mixed results.
