Well I finally got the morning off work and drove to my favorite exhaust

shop in Shelby Ohio. I have been going to him since I was turned on to his

shop back in the late 80's. I had him install model 12589 which is a 3 inch

5x11x22 muffler. Boy is it quiet. I left the resinator installed as I did not want

any drone. It has a nice deep tone and reminds me of my Trailblazer SS

exhaust. I hope it gets a little louder as the muffler wears in. So does anyone

have any input on this? Do the Magnaflows get louder with time?

i have the exact same muffler and i am extremely happy with it. i took off the resonator though and don't really get any drone. i actually think it was louder when i first got it. i didn't want something too loud and i think the magnaflow is perfect for the sound i was looking for. you gotta remove the resonator cuz it just defeats the purpose.

I have a 5*ll 22 inch muffler and I love it.
THe first day I had it not only did it produce a weird odor but it was as quiet as graveyard.
I was disappointed, but now, about 5000 miles later it WAY louder, even friends have noticed it.
It has no drone, and I did a resonator delete too, keeping the resonator was not the right thing to do at all!!

I like the looks of the resinator. I took it for a spin with no resinator and it was very noticable when it went to V4 mode so I had them put it back on. Its getting a little louder as I put on the miles. All I want is something that sounds as good as my stock TBSS exhaust. The stock exhaust was just so quiet you could not hear it at all.

YES I AM GETTING OLD.....

I have a 66 Chevy II with a 3 inch full system and 2 chamber Flowmasters so I can take that for a spin when I want to be loud.

Thats the first time I have ever heard anyone say they like the looks of the resonator. What is it exactly that you like about it? Dont you want to be able to put a decent looking tip on it?

The stock Tahoe resonator is the UGLIEST thing, it just look like a rusted big pipe!
That was one of the main reasons I got the catback, its so not tite when someone pulls up behind to see that BS lol!
The Magnaflow resonator on the Escalade Catback system is different, look real good!!
