Installing fog lights on 2915 Chevy Tahoe LT

This question is for people that have installed the fog lights and how they did it. Was wondering if you can tap into the running/drl without having to have a separate switch. And if you did go the switch route where is it mounted, did you have to cut a hole in the dash? Any feedback would be great!!! Thanks
