Finally pulled the trigger and bought 2/3 pro kit and the front/rear sway bars from eibach. Trying to do some research on the best way to install the new keys in the front. Is there a special tool or a diy way to unload the torsion bars?

Once you get everything installed, let me know how it goes, I'm debating on a McG's 2/3 and Hellwig Sways, or the Eibach pkg.

Do a full write up with pics...

There is a torsion bar tool but I couldn't justify the $100 for a tool I'd use a couple times. Check ebay, that is the only place I could find one. I used a 2 arm pulley puller to remove the keys. Mine were rusted in good. I had to use heat, small sledge hammer, and patience to get mine out. Make sure the front wheels are off the ground when taking out the keys.

GMFS has a really good thread that I looked @ before I did mine. #1 piece of advice- WD40 before you start and as soon as possible. Use a 7 ton gear puller.

Forgot to mention I sprayed the keys with plenty of PB blaster.

The keys were the EASY part when I dropped my truck... the rear shocks, somehow, really wrecked my day! hahaha

Seriously though, I went and bought a massive heavy duty c-clamp. Broke the flat part off so it was just a ball that sits nicely in that little dimple on the key. I have heard some horror storied about tortion bars unloading into an arm, but with as huge as the c-clamp was that I used, I had no problems.
