intake gasket 2ed time

95 yukon5.7. did intake gasket,runs hot with thermo in so maybe 2ed time around will work,let sit 24 houtrs before test run, 95 yukon,5.7,tbi,4x4 2 door 281.000......

how old is the water pump?

also sounds silly but check that part of your radiator is not clogged or blocked....

well have replaced raditor,brand new,all hoses new,with red hose, 3 thermostats,running with out thrmo now,till could get cash to do this,no air in system,some heat,enough to get me by,if was afan clutch think would run hot,or water pump,same idea,all this started after replaced intake gasket,got new gasket from g.m off my vin,other one came frow car quest,buddy did it for me,so either wrong gasket or something is blocking water.when put a thermo in builds up so much pressure.cant squeese water hose,

The stat doesn't cause that. thats just pressure in the system most likley caused by the fact that it's not circulating the water through the cooling system. I say if you have low to no heat, and it's over heating it's the water pump, or your bud left something in the water passage.

all is well with intake 2ed time,,,,da was put in backwards,stamped on gasket to front to back,no wonder was running hot no way for water to cirklate.with water ports blocked off runs 200 all day,thanks for help and info guys.....
