Hi Guys, I bought my wife a 2003 yukon xl denali awd (1500). The transmission is slipping from 3rd to 4th and needs to be replaced.
I just so happen to have a 2004 5.3 4wd tahoe parts truck. The tahoe only has 70k miles on it, transmission is mint!! (was hit on frontend).
SO My question is..... Can I swap in the 4L60E trans into the denali that currently has the 4l65E ???? Ive researched a bit and it seems its a direct swap for guys to upgrade from the 60 to the 65 so I'm thinking it should be fine the other way around??
From what I've read the 04 4l60e has the updated internal parts aside from the 5th planetary gear. I checked the gear ratio's and they are the same.
Anyone know if it works? !!!
